This term we are concentrating on Invasion games and we have been practising sending and receiving. Each week Mr Toyne gives us a range of activities to build up our skills, drawing on previous learning to improve control and technique.
We have learned some different ways to warm up - Mr Toyne often asks us to contribute ideas so that we understand why and how we should do this - and cool down.
During this week's lesson, we focused on attacking and defending using hoops as goals. The idea was to work as a team (pair) to keep the ball away from the defender for four passes, then try to pass to the 'target player' who was in the hoop. We were not allowed to move with the ball, except to pivot on one foot, linking our skills with netball.
