6LA Book World Cup

In 6LA, we tried a new approach to selecting a class reading book. On transition day, the class were given 16 book titles to explore. We had time to look at the covers, blurbs and tweet from each author on why we should read their book. We drew book titles to match them into pairs before voting for our preferred choice in each pair.

When we returned from the summer holidays, we looked at the final 8, paired them up and explored the opening chapters to each one. We then voted and selected our final 2 which will be our first 2 class reading books of the year. We really enjoyed looking at books and being able to help choose what we wanted to read.

We are already half way through Room 13 and we love it!
