We are currently learning about how to write explanations using Wallace and Gromit's cracking contraptions videos. After learning about the features, vocabulary and layout, we began a shared write about The Turbo Diner using Google Docs.

Firstly, a coin is inserted into the machine. As a result, the machine turns on. After that, when the user sits down, leather clamps wrap around their wrists and shins. Due to the fact that the operator is clamped in, they are safe and secure. Following this, the machine quickly pulls the user to the table. This means that the user is in the correct position to eat. Moments later, a hatch opens and reveals part of the contraption. Eventually, a shiny copper box drops down and hovers above the table. Consequently, this allows a handmade high-tech mega vacuum, which operates at 300 horse power, to collect the untidy mess off of the table. Once the machine has lifted all the mess, the vacuum retreats back up the hatch. All of a sudden, another box crashes down. The user hears a humming sound due to the fact that the food is being cooked. As a result of the food being cooked, the power meter lowers. Meanwhile, the food is left behind, cooked and ready to eat. Next, from the hatch, the machine delivers a candle and places it in the middle of the table. Suddenly, a remarkable flamethrower (blow torch) comes down and ignites the candle for the finishing touch of the meal. Once the candle is lit, the clamps loosen and the user can enjoy their meal!
The Turbo Diner has been improving and innovating dinners for decades.
