Y5 Maths Able and Gifted Day

I'd really like to celebrate the following children for their enthusiasm and the perseverance that they demonstrated on their able and gifted maths experience day.

"I really enjoyed the problem solving matching activity where we had to match the tiles with coloured lines on. I found this challenging to start off with but once I got the hang of it, it was fun ."(Zack)

"I particularly enjoyed the number focus of the day - it made me think and made us try out lots and lots of possibilities." (Rhianna)

"I really enjoyed bringing back the 'number door challenge' back to the classroom to challenge my classmates. It was a challenge all about factors and we had to figure out which doors would be left open, which ones would be closed and which door handles would be the dirtiest! The numbers that were left, were surprisingly all square numbers. I thought this problem was very clever and mind blowing!"    (Jared)

"I thoroughly enjoyed all of the problem solving activities that we experienced throughout the day. My favourite one was the door challenge which we eventually mastered!" (Jessica)
