On Friday 10 November 2017 some of our children had the privilege of attending the Service of Remembrance at the International Bomber Command Centre. The children were told about the memorial before the service. After the two-minute silence, the wreaths, which were handmade by Year 5-6 children, were laid. The children were then given information about a fallen member of Bomber Command and a poppy to put on the wall once they had located their name. Mr Lockley (photoflair.net) kindly took photos of the occasion, they can be found by clicking the picture below. The children of Fosse Way were very proud to be involved and were super ambassadors for our school. Thank you to Nicky Barr and the volunteers of IBCC. Thank you to our serving parents for joining us. Well done to all the children for their impeccable behaviour throughout the service.
